About Me
Clinical Expertise Meets Equine Wisdom
I’m an LMSW‑C and trained Equine Specialist offering trauma‑informed, experiential psychotherapy. My approach blends clinical skill with the intuitive, grounding presence of horses. Clients come to me when traditional therapy hasn’t gone deep enough — and they leave with clarity, confidence, and emotional regulation.
Equine-assisted therapy supports trauma healing by offering a powerful, nonverbal space where horses act as sensitive mirrors to emotions—responding in real time to tension, fear, or calm, which helps clients become aware of their internal states without words. This grounded interaction fosters nervous system regulation and co-regulation, allowing individuals to feel safe and centered in the moment. Moreover, building genuine trust with a large, nonjudgmental animal cultivates confidence, boundary-setting, and empowerment—key steps in recovering a sense of agency often eroded by trauma. The combination of embodiment, biofeedback, and relational safety makes equine work a uniquely effective complement to traditional trauma-informed therapies.
Trauma Services
Somatic and experiential therapies support healing by helping people process emotions through the body and direct experience rather than only through talk. Somatic approaches reduce trauma-related stress by releasing tension stored in the body and improving regulation of the nervous system, offering relief from symptoms like anxiety, muscle tension, and chronic stress. Experiential therapy deepens emotional awareness by allowing clients to safely reenact, express, and transform difficult feelings in real time, fostering self‑expression, confidence, and lasting emotional change through guided activities like art, movement, and role-play.
At Rose Path Equine Therapy, we specialize in trauma-focused services, addressing PTSD, childhood trauma, domestic violence, grief, and anxiety through compassionate care and equine support.
